Liverpool FC is now sold to the yankees after we were ditched by DIC about a week ago (see my previous post on LFC). In my personal view, I am truly happy with Mr. Moores’ wise decision to sell his stake (and being made chairman for life) to what it seems will be the perfectly fit new owners (George Gillett Jnr and Thomas O Hicks). Congratulations to the new owners! Thank you David Moores!

With this recent development, LFC now have joined ManUSA, Chevski and Emirsenal forces of having foreign new owners. Will Liverpool FC be able to chase the American Dream? The new journey will be a very exciting one!!!

Will this means that there’ll also be changes in sponsorship? Will LFC end their long-term relationship with Carlsberg and Adidas and start courting American brands? We’ll wait and see …

Oh my gawd!!! No … no … As far as Gillett and Hicks have pledged to keep the Kop traditions, I hope they’d keep the current sponsorships for now too. Nothing against Buds and Majestic but Carlsberg and Adidas (Reebok) had been there for long that they’re so much part of the LFC family.
