In my previous posting, I promised that I’ll put something up about my trip to Anfield back in October 28th 2006. This posting is stale to some who had previously saw the pictures and heard me blabbering about my trip but for the benefits of those who haven’t and upon their requests, I’m very gladful to post this exciting experience!

Thanks to J.C. and M.C. who made it possible for me to kiss the soil and breath the air of Anfield, this one definitely will remain a special memory to me. Perhaps the first and the last trip before Liverpool FC moves to a new ground at Stanley Park (which is just across the road!!!) ![]()
Like a school boy rising up early to watch Saturday morning cartoon, I was all set good to go as early as 6.30am for J.C. to pick me up from my hotel even though our appointment was actually set at 11am. I waited patiently, where he showed up on the dot, took me to his home to fetch his son and off we went to Anfield. The journey was scenic but my thoughts were already at the pitch, thinking about how Anfield looks like, how’s the fans, the game, will we win or lose …
Here’s some pictures to share with you all;
Posing with Bill Shankly. The man who made the people happy.

The mood and the crowd outside the pitch was as happening as indoor.
The Reds stars warming up before the game. Should have gotten an SLR to zoom in to the players. I was overwhelmed to finally be able to see my favourite man Gerrard and Riise in persons ![]()

All smile with the score 3-0 at half-time …

Second half action. Villa scored 1 consolation goal. Liverpool could have scored more …

Final whistle! The score was, Liverpool 3 Villa 1. Some seasoned scousers besides me asked that I come more often to the games as I brought good luck ![]()

It’s very true when people say Kop fans are special! They are absolutely amazing ..

I was absolutely happy that the game ended with generous scores but also sad that I had to leave now …

In front of the Bill Shankly memorial gate! A lost Bidayuh among the scousers, hahaha!

The season pass that made it possible! Thanks Mrs. C for sacrificing your seat.

I will definitely come again …
that is Anfiled!
