Home-made tattoo – Chapter 2

This is the second chapter of my home-made tattoo posting. Debrone‘s tattoo is very hard to translate. The design has a tribal influence with modern abstract. The two circles form a figure eight which is also an infinity symbol. It denotes limitless and without boundary or end. It explains Debrone’s full energy during the gathering. Untiringly dancing by himself ignoring the major crowd, happy throughout the night.

The infinity symbol is close to the mythological creature such as the Ouroboros, a snake that consumes its tail (which forms a figure circle) and is a creature without end. The circle or loop represents life being a cycle.

A closer look, I could also see a letter “S” that’s curls like a seahorse. The Seahorse is fiercely protective and as such it is often times used as a symbol for fatherhood. Hmmm … Debrone will become a good father? Any ladies interested ???

My conclusion, Debrone’s tattoo design has some tribal influence, more like a modified Iban tattoo similar to what I have on my left arm.
