Went to watch the most talked about fireworks competition at Putrajaya on the eve of Merdeka night. Found a spot overlooking the PICC from Cyberjaya lake at 10pm but the fireworks started only at 12 midnight!!! Waited patiently and as the clock struck 12, the Japanese team showcased their creative display for 25 minutes.

The country celebrated it’s 50th Merdeka but our people’s mind are still not! Two lanes road became a four lane parking and some idiots who parked far ahead took their own sweet time to move their vehicles causing massive jams. A short 15km distance to reach home turned out as a 2.5 hours crawling in the massive and worst traffic jam ever on the highways of Cyberjaya and Putrajaya. This will be my first and last time indeed. I’d rather sit home and watch Merdeka on the telly.
