The Novotel Clarke Quay Singapore
Just got back from the Lion City for work … here’s a picture from my hotel room overlooking the night life at Clarke Quay.

Didn’t take much pictures as my routine was airport > hotel > office > hotel > office again > airport back to KL (yet you guys said business trip is great?). It was a packed 2 nights and 2 days business trip. Except for the lunch and dinner appointments, didn’t have the chance to do anything else. In fact, I was too knackered to go clubbing last night checking out the Singaporean chicks during Wednesday’s ladies nights. Did go for a drink at Hooters while waiting for a colleague to pick us up for dinner at Boon Tat street. Ok lah, can still cuci mata
at the sexy Filipino waitresses wearing very short pants and tight tees, showing off their front and rear bumpers
. Mind you …
So, instead of my ritual Travel & Adventures posting, here’s my Hotel Review posting. That’s the only pics I shot while in Singapore. I know it’s lame.
Introducing to you, The Novotel Clarke Quay Singapore.
The room is modern, spacious and well equipped, suitable for business trips. I got a king size bed all for myself ![]()

It is equipped with executive desk (which part or angle that looks executive to you?), a couch, broadband connection (but unfortunately is chargeable at SG$30/24 hours), a flat screen TV, a DVD player and a movie on demand set top box.

The mini-bar is filled up with plenty of tea and coffee unlike normal hotels where they usually provide only 2 packs of each varieties.

No dressing table (like I need one) but there’s a huge standing mirror to reflect yourself. It reminds me that my abs is getting rounder every month. I must revolutionize myself!!!! Do or die!

Spacious wardrobe that comes with an iron. ironing board, slippers, bath robes and safe deposit box.

There’s big room in the shower. Why do you think I bother? That’s because I’ve been to a few Novotel’s in Europe and their shower is very tight. The worse was Novotel Waterloo, London. The shower at Novotel Clarke Quay met my expectation. No more elbows hitting the four walls.

In fact the entire bath room is spacious.

I like the toiletries arrangement. It comes with boxed soap, shower gel, shampoo, foam bath and mouth wash (you rarely find this in most hotels). They also give you two sets of free toothbrush and tootpaste.

My verdict:
This hotel is highly recommended. For a SG$270/night (corporate rate of course) you get a very good room. At the entrance of the hotel, there’s Starbucks and 7-eleven. Attached to the hotel is a shopping mall. Best of all, it is only 20 meters from Clarke Quay and 100 meters from Ministry of Sound. That’s where all the happenings are. Practically you can just crawl back to the hotel after getting yourself drunk on a crazy nightout.
The breakfast is commendable. Plenty of choice from continental breakfast to English and Asian style breakfast. It caters to all guests.
Staff are very warm and accomodating. They display professionalism at all time.
