After winning the last general election, the PKR-led government of Selangor promised to provide free water to every households in the richest state in Malaysia.

Earlier this week, water bill for July arrived in my mail box. Tan Sri Khalid’s government kept to their words of giving free water to the rakyat. If you’re Selangor residents, please check your water bill. You should see a statement that reads “Bekalan air 20M3 pertama adalah dibayar oleh KDEB bagi pengguna di negeri Selangor sahaja bermula 1 Jun 2008.” It reads Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad (KDEB), (which is the stakeholder for the water board in Selangor) is compensating the first 20 cubic meters to all residents of Selangor effective June 1st, 2008..
Well done Tan Sri Khalid! Thank you Selangor government.

As a matter of fact, not only I get free water this month but there’s a surplus in the bill. Syabas owes me RM4.40. ![]()
