Room Review - Mandarin Oriental Manila
Mandarin Oriental Manila is a deluxe hotel located in Makati City, one of the cities that form Metro Manila. That’s where I will be staying for the next 5 days …

With a rate of 4800PHP (pesos) per night (that’s roughly RM365/night), the deluxe room with a king size bed is worth every penny. Well, I pay using the company’s card not my money ![]()
My room is on the eight floor i.e. the non-smoking floor. I specifically asked for non-smoking room because I hate entering a room where a previous smoker have stayed. It stinks!

Looking outside the window, I can only see buildings and carparks, a pathetic view for an expensive room ![]()

As you entered the room, you are greeted by a huge and tall closet.

The huge closet actually comprises of clothespress …

… dressing wardrobe,

… safe deposit box and coffee cabinet,

… snackbar,

… and a booze bar.

The room is generously spacious.

There’s a sofa section, with errrr, two settee and a table.

The hotel welcomed me with complimentary fruits and a personally signed greeting card. When I said personally signed, it’s not printed but handwritten and signed by the General Manager. Such is the personal touch they give to their guests.

The desk is big enough for me to do my work and teleconference for the next 5 days. It comes with a complimentary broadband access and local calls. Well, I don’t really need complimentary local calls since I have my softphone with me but it might come handy if I need to make a quick call to my Manila office or calling the cabbie.

The bathroom is awesomely huge and nicely decorated.

Here’s another angle of the bathroom.

It comes with common toiletries.

And a weighing scale to remind me that I’m still fat especially after an ~RM300 dinner tonight of sumptuous feast at The Tivoli restaurant.

For the treats the hotel threw in to pamper their guests, this hotel comes highly recommended for business and honeymooning. Although located at the bustling business city of Makati, yet it is on a quiet address away from the noise and busy traffic. At night, you are assured a quiet sleep!
headsteadi.com approves Mandarin Oriental with a 9/10 rating.
