Ask anybody who had been to Phuket, where do you go for a nightlife? Most of them will tell you that Bangla Road is the place to be.

Bangla Road is very synonym to the island and is the main attractions for visitors to the once tsunami wrecked island. The 24 hours active street is notorious for its stretched of bars, Thai girls, sexy and “pretty” ladyboys performing the Katoey dance, imitation goods, tasty local Thai food at the back alley, cheap tailors and etc.

To the east end of the street is Song Roy Pee Road where you will find Jungceylon i.e. the biggest shopping mall in Phuket. At this end of the street also, you’ll find Tai Pan, dubbed Finest.Bar.In Thailand.

At the west end is Thaweewong Road where the famous Patong beach lies. In daylight, the street is open for vehicles to pass through but by 6pm daily, it is closed from traffic and actions of all sorts from the local vendors, sexy Thai girls and ladyboys begin while tourists roam freely enjoying the shows.

Here, you can almost shop until 3 or 4 a.m.

You see funny people selling weird memorabilia, like this old man selling a dancing Coke bottle.

Street vendors selling barbecued fish, squid and even eggs.

Annoying street tailors, exploiting tourists for custom made suits.

Ladyboys and real Thai girls competing to attract clients for the night.

The next time you’re in Phuket make sure you check out Bangla Road.
