Harrods Knightsbridge

I’m going to be busy with meetings for the next few days. Here’s a scheduled post on what Carol and I did earlier in the week.

Quick update on our 3rd day …

First, we took the Piccadilly line tube to South Kensington, made a switch to the Circle line and headed towards Bayswater to look for some souvenirs for our little nieces and nephew. Having my hand full with souvenirs, I forgot to snap photos of the quiet town of Bayswater. This suburb of London is quite laid back and it felt totally different from center of London.

Then, we tubed our way to Knightsbridge and walked about 0.2 miles to the famous and expensive Harrods. Designer labels, you name it, they have it at Harrods. I didn’t know that Bob Dylan was also a painter until I saw his paintings on sale at Harrods. All these while I only knew that Bob is the original singer of “Knocking on Heaven’s Door”. :))

There’s also Diana and Dodi’s memorial built inside Harrod’s. All charity funds from this memorial will be channelled to Silfield School Kings Lynn in Norfolk, Diana’s former school.

Everything there is so expensive. I had a 75ml bottle of Coke for a bloooody three pounds fifty while waiting for Carol to explore the establishment.

And the Mrs got away with a Harrod’s bag. She justified that the bag will come handy once our baby arrives. Ya lah, expensive bag to put baby’s milk bottles and pampers when we go outing. Women …

And what did I get? I walked away like a hurt Calvin Klein male model :p who is three quids fifty short. Money not well spent! Damn you Al-Fayed! A pint of beer is more cheaper than this Coke … add a couple more quids, I could dine on a fish & chips set lunch. Anyways, for the experience £3.50 pun £3.50 lah
