Hyde Park Corner
I still have a few more stories on my London trip.
One of the place that Carol & I visited was Hyde Park Corner.

Hyde Park Corner holds memorials of:

1. Field Marshal Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington (b. 1 May 1769 – d. 14 September 1852).

2.The Constitution Arch (also known as Wellington Arch) is a memorial to the Duke of Wellington. It originally provides grand entrance to London and was built as the northern gate to the grounds of Buckingham Palace.

3. At the top of the arch is a statue of The Quadriga (1912) by Adrian Jones.

4. In 2003, the Australian War Memorials was added to commemorate the service men and women who served in both WWI and WWII.

5. The New Zealand War Memorial built of 16 cross-shaped vertical bronze standards was included in 2006.

About five minutes walk from this park, you’ll find London’s Hard Rock Cafe.

Yeah…one has to thank those who invented digital camera sometimes. Imagine how many rolls of films would have been used for our pictures taken during vacations with Angela
