Regin Hotel Singapore is a budget hotel located at Sims Avenue, at the back of Geylang Road. During my last weekend getaway to Singapore, I stayed over this budget hotel for two nights.

Two reasons I chose this hotel i.e.:

1. Affordable – relatively cheap (with weekdays (SG$95) and weekend rates (SG$105)) with complimentary first come first serve parking, clean room, en-suite bathrooms and best of all, they offer family type rooms
2. Good location – away from the crowded city center – Orchard Road area, easy access to/from the expressway, plenty of food choices at the nearby Geylang neighbourhood

The hotel is a six-storey building but the elevator only service the ground up to 4th floor. To get to the 5th floor, you have to take the nearby stairways.

To find a hotel in Singapore that offers family room is quite limited. Regin Hotel is one of the fews. Its family rooms comes with 1 x double bed plus 1 x single bed that could sleep up to 4 persons.

The room is equipped with wall mounted flat screen tv that offers wide range of channel selections, single wardrobe with a built-in mini-bar, electric jug, dressing-table and large mirror.

Instant 3-in-1 coffee sachets, bottled water, toothbrush and toothpaste comes as complimentary.

Every rooms are equipped with independent aircond unit and door that have proper secured lock.

I booked 2 x family rooms throughout our stay there. Both rooms have spacious en-suite bath. There are no shower curtain in between the bath are and toilet. I also noticed the floor dries up very quickly.

The hotel staff are nice, chatty and helpful. If you’re travelling with families of small children, this hotel is family friendly.

As a summary, by comparison to the more popular and over-rated budget hotel chains in Singapore such as Fragrance Hotel chains & Hotel 81 chains, headsteadi.com prefers Regin Hotel more because it is decently cheaper and suitable for families.
