Today is eve of Chinese New Year. I’d like to wish my Chinese friends Kong Hee Fatt Choy, nian nian you yu   Streets of KL are already being deserted, Petaling Street would be tranquil, most shops are closed and Genting casino will be flocked. For me as non-Chinese this means a very long weekend to enjoy.  The Mrs and I decided to drive out of town for a short weekend getaway when I received this peculiar text message on Saturday night.

Somebody asked me if I’m coming for a meeting or not as it was about to start.  I didn’t recognise the number at first because  I was using my backup phone hence I lost all numbers in my broken phone.

So I asked, “Who’s this and what meeting?”
The person replied “Committee meeting”.
I replied again “What committee meeting. I think you got the wrong #. I’m out of KL btw so can’t attend any last minute meeting.”

Moments later that person called and told me it’s DBNA KV committee meeting and I was supposed to be present. I am totally flabbergasted with the scarce stupidity reflected by the committee leaderships.

Another member of the committee was called also last night about the same time I was contacted. That person was also dismayed with the last minute arrangement because this person was also out of town. And I just can’t accept the stupid reason that came out from the mouth of the attending committee. How can you claim that you don’t have our phone numbers since we just formed this entity. I wonder where have the registration forms been filed. Did you ran out of toilet papers that you have to wipe your shitty arse using the registration form? At least 3 or 4 existing members in the team had our phone numbers in their cellphones and that includes the chairman and vice-chairman as well. Such a lame excuse that you have to come up with.

From what I’m seeing and have been noticing, this so called DBNA KV has failed big time. It’s not currently serving its purpose and it never will until YOU!, the so called elite group close the gap between the rank and file. Until you do so, DBNA KV will remain the exclusive group for the self proclaimed elite circle of cronies! I was glad that I never registered as a member of DBNA KV which makes my commitment as a committee member as null and void.

If you can demand my presence over a text message, I also can pull out from the committee and as a member over the phone. After all, what have you done so far for the betterment of the Bidayuh community in KL? Bollocks!
