Last Saturday I woke up at 6am as I was very excited to see The Cunninghams who flew over from KL to spend Easter holidays in Kuching. Dad and I left home at 6.45am on two cars. Traffic was clear along the Semariang – Santubong road and we reached Damai Puri at 7.35am.

Our first destination for our guests was to Annah Rais Longhouse (I will post a review on this later).

After the tour we went to the hot spring which is another 3-4 mins drive from the longhouse followed by 2 mins walk through the jungle. The hot spring, made of three pools are part of the main stream that flows to Sungai Sarawak Kiri.

We proceed for lunch at the nearby cafe where the Cunninghams were introduced to traditional Bidayuh food all cooked in bamboo such as bamboo rice, pansuh chicken, pansuh pork, pangkang and lemang.

After lunch, we hit the road again towards Jong’s Crocodile Farm.

From there, we concluded the day with shopping for Sarawak handicrafts and potteries.
We have not met for almost a year since I left my old job in July last year. It was great to have spent time with the Cunninghams again. Hope to see you again soon.
AnnaH Rais is a very nice place.. One of my staff is from there, and she told me that you can go in for free if its occasion, like Christmas and Gawai..
