Asher Lugas was baptised on May 31st, 2009! His Uncle Bert is the chosen godfather that will walk through the spiritual journey with Baby Lugas as he grows up.

No issue with picking the right Christian name for Baby Lugas. Prior to getting his birth certificate from the registration department the other day, I had contacted Rev. Fr. Albert to check if “Asher” is an acceptable name by the church. Fr. Albert’s was supportive.

“Asher” is of Hebrew origin which means “Happy”. In the bible, Jacob’s eighth son Asher was promised a life blessed with abundance. “Lugas” was picked after my ancestor’s name i.e. “Luga”.

May his guardian angel protects and guide Asher as he grows up.
