Hexagon 8-stage pi-Water Purifier

I’ve been wanting to get a water filter/purifier for our kitchen like the Waterlife System or Hexagon Hi-Energy Structured Water System but the ridiculuous price held me back from getting one. Besides, the bulky size means it takes a lot of space in our confined kitchen. However, both are excellent end consumer filters.

My wife suggested that we should just get the normal counter top water filter which cost around RM80 – RM100. The filter either comes with 0.5 or 1.0 micron cartridge. We’ve used that type before when we lived in a rented house and it wasn’t effective. The filtered water was still murky albeit lesser. The cartridge trapped mold and fungus hence requires weekly maintenance. The cartridge wouldn’t last long neither. It cried for replacement after every 3 months.

It is not until I came across the Hexagon 8-stage pi-Water Purifier, a smaller, more compact counter top unit suitable for home users especially if you live in a condo or apartment. It is made according to the same principle as the Hexagon Hi-Energy Structured Water System, only that it is more compact and much more affordable.

The unit is made to be a DIY hence installation is quick and easy. It came with accessories that can fit the standard size of every household faucets.

I’m not going to elaborate on what’s great about this product. You can read it here and here. Find out about the chlorine test here.

Here’s my verdict why I love this product:

  1. My top verdict is the competitive, value for money price. Unlike the Waterlife System or Hexagon Hi-Energy Structured Water System which costs between RM1,800 to RM2500, the Hexagon 8-stage pi-Water Purifier is retailed at RM385. Special price for Cosway member at RM295! Heavenly cheap!
  2. The design is compact and suitable for small kitchen but performs if not the same, much better than some industrial water filtration system
  3. Hexagon 8-stage not only filters but purifies water. It eliminates sediment, rust, metal and chlorine.
  4. I have increased my daily water intake due to the “sweet” taste of the purified water.
  5. It is cheap to maintain. The cartridge calls for replacement only once a year or every 10,000 litres. On top of that, Cosway has a lot of branches nationwide so you wouldn’t have problem getting a replacement. Regular maintenance only requires you to scrub the bottom ceramic once a week/month depending on your water’s purity.
  6. Look at the picture of my filter above. Do you notice that the colour of the ceramic at the bottom has turned murky? That’s how dirty Klang Valley’s tap water is. And fyi, that’s a week worth of filtration! Shocking isn’t it? Having already installed the Hexagon 8-stage pi-Water Purifier, I have more confidence that our baby Lugas is drinking safe water for his milk.
  7. No need boiling! I tested drinking straight from the tap without boiling it first and I’m still alive. Did not experience stomachache or cramp or water poisoning. However as I’m a bit of a conservative person, I still boil the water before consumption eventhough it is perfectly safe to drink directly without boiling.

  1. my advice on water filter… By all means go for the Haxagon. My home piping 1 normal sediments filter (diy) then into kitchen thru Hexagon 6 filters (a box under the sink compartment). Hexagon water is good and healthy and best of all, just drink direct… I joined as cosway member (eCosway) then can buy the hexagon at 50%; about 550, last 2years..

  2. ur post is timely. we’ve been seriously considering few options, but looking for one that come with hot water dispenser. see how lazy we’ve become?:d
