I’m currently stranded in Manila! All roads leading to the airport are flooded. Traffic was in a gridlock. Taxi drivers are turning down requests to go to the airport. All those destined to the airport had to turn back. I was already heading to the airport and had to return to the hotel. I was lucky to get the same room that I checked out from earlier as the Renaissance suddenly fully booked with disappointed guests making cancelling their trips to stay for another night. Found out later on other hotels were fully booked as well.
Scene from the hotel lobby as at 10.30pm tonight. Disappointed commuters were trying their luck to get a room. The receptions had a busy day today.
