I’m getting more and more of this off late. My eyes would itch/irritate and next thing I know, the white area (sclera) become swollen and bulge out.
Sometimes, almost covering the iris (black/brown/grey/blue/green area, depending on your ethnic origin). Hence, the reason I stopped wearing contact lenses.
i’ve gone off contact lens for 2 years straight now. had the same problem, but not as bad as yours. just forget the contact. either back to spec, or like cyril said, time to go for lasik!

What contact lenses r u wearing. Daily disposal, weekly, monthly….brand? I use Daily Focus but it just lasts 7 hrs before irritation starts. Now moving on to Acuvue.
