A couple of days ago, went for a quick getaway with the in laws at Lundu as a pre-Gawai family gathering. We stayed at Union Retreat, approx. 15mins away from Lundu town. The resort is quite new, beautifully landscaped and it is run by the association of bank employees in Sarawak.
Seen here, long queue at AirAsia’s check-in counters going to Kuching and KK. People from the two Borneo states are going back for the Gawai and Kaamatan celebrations.
Well, what can I say … I’ve lived in KL for almost 20 years now and last month was the first time I visited Tugu Negara (the National Monument), located not so far from Taman Tasik Perdana (KL Lake Garden) along Jalan Parlimen. If it wasn’t because of my uncle’s visit I wouldn’t have been there myself.
Last Saturday I woke up at 6am as I was very excited to see The Cunninghams who flew over from KL to spend Easter holidays in Kuching. Dad and I left home at 6.45am on two cars. Traffic was clear along the Semariang – Santubong road and we reached Damai Puri at 7.35am.
