Gotong-royong is a communal work that’s slowly dying due to the process of urbanisation. In some kampungs, where large number of the youngs are migrating to bigger cities in search of better life, the practise of gotong-royong is slowly dwindling as a result.
Planet Hollywood, Kuala Lumpur, 26 June 2008 - Dayang Nurfaizah is back at Planet Hollywood, ready to party with her fans on her birthday, 20th July 2008. It has been an ongoing tradition for Dayang to celebrate her birthday with her fans since 2003, and this year is certainly no exception.
Last Saturday I attended my company’s last ever dinner before I formally move to my new job and before the rests of my colleagues officially being outsourced to AT&T, EDS and T-systems depending on their service lines. The dinner was held at KL Convention Center, a second time in a consecutive year. I like the location because the ballroom halls are huge and spacious. After dinner you can just walk to Jalan P. Ramlee for another session of partying.
“Telefon”, a seven-piece band, is one of Thailand’s hottest club bands and they will be performing at Hard Rock Café Kuala Lumpur starting from 1st June 2008 till 31st July 2008 (for 2 months).
I like my informal and unofficial affiliation with the marketing team of Planet Hollywood (PH) because that means I get priviledge access to PH’s Sunday Nite Live. Of course I go with a mission which is to review the live concert and report back in this blog so that more people would come for the next show.
Last Sunday May 18th, team headsteadi.com took the opportunity of Monday’s Wesak holiday to join rock legend Wings in celebrating their 21st anniversary concert. Except for Hillary (current lead guitarist of another rock legend and pioneer Search), all Wing’s guests made their appearance which include Kid (former lead guitarist of Search), Mus and Mel (former singers of Wings when Awie left the band), Jojet (Wing’s former drummer) Hattan, Ito and Sham (the first ex-lead guitarist of Wings before Joe joined).
